WHere is an easy interpretation of a beverage featured on a new menu. It's a batch prepared mix which is bursting with the tastes of the festive period, rendering it ideal for hosting a holiday party. Any leftover cordial you can use for breakfast cocktails, puddings, or to mix additional servings of this cocktail.
The Bikini Cocktail
Makes enough for 10 guests
To make the Clementine Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g fine sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (yields 850ml, enough for 10)
400ml premium vodka
100ml dry gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml citrus syrup (as made above)
A few cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Directions
Making the Citrus Syrup: Put the listed ingredients inside a pan, bring to a gentle boil, stirring to dissolve. After that, take off the burner allowing it to cool fully. Transfer into an clean bottle, close it and refrigerate it in the refrigerator, it will last for around a month.
For the Batch Mix: Mix every liquids into one sizeable container, leave to sit for an hour, then strain , ideally through a fine cloth, making it fully clarified.
To serve: Pour 85ml from the premix to a mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate gently for a minute until cold. Pour into an cold coupe glass or similar, garnish with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a brief mist of the essential oil above the glass.
